Dear Fellow Republicans,

My name is Mark York. I am running for U.S. Senate to put our state back on the right track—to stop fraud, cut childcare costs, and slash red tape to Build, Baby, Build! I would like to share who I am, how I see the crisis in our state, and my vision to take us out of it.

I am a farmer, computer scientist, and public servant. My family has farmed in Lake Wilson near Pipestone for four generations. I’ve spent my life raising pigs and growing crops on our family land, always looking for ways to give back to the people and soil that raised me. I went to South Dakota State University to study math and agronomy.  At Cargill, where I started my career, I saw how technology can help farmers like me. I went out east to research AI as a PhD student at Harvard. I became a White House Fellow, and I wrote President Trump’s Critical Minerals Strategy as well as sped up permits and funding for three critical mineral mines in northern Minnesota.

Minnesota is in a crisis. After 20 years of Democrat control, our state has become the fraud capital of the U.S. Tim Walz and Peggy “Fraud Again” Flanagan forced families out and brought illegal migrants in. They drove growth down and brought costs up. Meanwhile, Minnesotans were left to foot the bill with sky-high childcare, healthcare, and taxes.

This isn’t right. Minnesotans deserve a state where good-paying jobs are available, life is affordable, and fraudsters are in jail. 

I have a plan to put us back on the right track.

As your Senator, I will:

1. Stop the fraud by using AI to detect and prevent fraudulent payments before they happen.
2. Help Minnesotans have larger families by cutting red tape to make daycare, housing, and healthcare more affordable.
3. BUILD, BABY, BUILD! Create jobs in mining and other industries of the future by accelerating permits, directing grants and loans, and training the workforce.

Together, we will stop the fraud, cut the red tape, and reignite the pioneer spirit that makes us so proud to be Minnesotan.
